The Extra Room

Every house eventually gets one more room.

A slow psychological horror mod for survival Minecraft. Build somewhere to live. Sleep there, keep your things there, come home after going out. For a long time, nothing happens. That is intended.

Then one day there's a door you never built… and something on the other side is listening.

It works best if you know as little as possible. You'll find an old journal in your inventory. Reading it is optional.

🕯 What's inside

• A door that shouldn't exist, leading somewhere your house doesn't go.
• The Tenant. It listens, it searches, it watches. And if it sees you, it comes.
• A house that slowly stops being yours: sounds, small wrongnesses, things that weren't there a moment ago.
• Original sound design: every part of the Extra Room has its own sound, and a presence you feel more than hear.
• A way home, if you can find it.

🛡 Safe for your world

• It never deletes your items, harms your pets or corrupts your world. Anything it changes is put back.
• Worlds and settings from 0.2.x carry straight over to 1.1.0.

♿ Accessibility

Personal settings for each player, even on servers:

• No sudden darkness, no blackouts, no camera jolt
• Quieter sudden sounds (reduceSuddenVolume)
• No high, thin sounds
• A volume control for the Extra Room's background sound

📦 Requirements

• Minecraft 26.3 · Fabric Loader · Fabric API
• Install on the client and the server (every player needs it)
